Welcom to Virginia's Shaping School Page.

Late in the summer of 2005 my partner, Chris (AKA:Super Dirt Monkey), brought by his neighbor Virginia so that she may build a board for her sister. Those of you who have built boards with me before know that I always invite you to the shop so you can see what you are getting into. Little did I know that Virginia would be starting that night, and need the board completed in under two weeks. Little did she know what she was getting into. I try to pace my customers so nothing in the process is rushed. Virginia wouldn't hear it and dove right in insisting that the board must be done as soon as possible. Late nights, and lots of coffee took up the next few days. Unfortunately Super Dirk Monkey could not make some of the sessions since he was still in College at the time. (Congratulations for graduating by the way!). With a no holds bar attitude Virginia completed her sisters board the very night she came home. I had a great time working with Virginia and hope that even if she does not make another board she keeps in touch with the Essence Surf community.
